M&G are working behind the scenes on a planning application for 18 character country homes, our second development in the wonderful village of Cerne Abbas.
We have worked extensively with Williams Lester Architects to design a delightful development with an informal low-key character befitting of its village edge location. There will be a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes across the site forming a variety of detached, semi-detached and link-detached properties. This, along with the combination of local materials, will create an interesting and delightful street scene. The development has also been designed to meet local housing need.
Swanhills will reflect the collective character and wealth of architectural styles to be found within the wider village. Following on from our successful development nearby at Duck Street, there will be a continued focus on quality of appearance and fine detail throughout. Materials and finishes will include: local flint block with brick banding, rounded render reveals, low-cilled timber sash windows, tall brick chimneys and thick lime render under generous overhanging thatch.
Following the success of recent development at Duck Street, we are already receiving enquiries from those interested in the new homes. Please do get in touch if you wish to receive updates on progress at Swanhills.
